Over 40 years experience providing beautiful piano music. Call or email today for more information or to book Lee for your special occasion.
A professional pianist since high school, Lee Turner plays Ragtime, Dixieland, Stride, Broadway show tunes, Standards, Classical, Gospel/Sacred, and many other styles.
He has performed at such venues at the Ritz-Carlton (Amelia Island), Grand Hotel (Mackinac Island, MI) River Club, Jekyll Island Club Hotel, Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, the Lodge and Club at Ponte Vedra, Omni Hotel, Club Continental, and others.
He has played for several years at high profile annual events such as The Bill Gaither Golf Classic VIP dinner, the Gator Bowl New Year's Eve VIP Party, The Jacksonville Symphony Designer Showcase House, and the Bolles Faculty Christmas Party.
Lee played a piano concert for Bill Gaither for his VIP Golf Tournament in Gaither’s Studio C in Bill’s hometown of Alexandria, IN, where some of the Homecoming Videos were taped. Along with Bill and Gloria, several of Bill’s Homecoming artists were there, and gave Lee a standing ovation. The concert ended with everyone singing Lee’s May the Road Rise to Meet You for the benediction. He also played piano solos to standing ovations for four of Bill’s Homecoming concerts at the Jacksonville Veteran’s Memorial Arena.
Lee also did a piano concert for Cliff Barrows’ Senior Celebration at The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove (Near Asheville, NC).
In 1998, Lee was asked by Jacksonville's NPR station WJCT-FM (Stereo-90) to do a "Live from the Gallery" concert at The Avenues Mall. It was broadcast on the station twice the following week. His one-hour concert included everything from Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata to "Fats" Waller's Ain't Misbehavin'. Lee tied the selections together with stories about the various composers, and his performance was received enthusiastically by those who attended as well as the radio audience.
His I Love a Piano concerts, with Lee's piano arrangements of old favorites tied together by wonderful stories about the songwriters, have played to packed houses wherever he has presented them.
Lee is available to play for dinners, receptions, parties, anniversaries, retirement dinners, or any special occasion. For more information or to book him, contact Lee via email or call 904-398-4429.
